A different way to thrift

Why I Started Rusty Pickins

Before Rusty Pickins, I spent years buying storage units and estates, and I kept finding the kind of inventory I rarely saw in traditional thrift stores: vintage pieces, electronics, small collectibles, odd little finds, and the kind of things that make you stop and dig a little deeper.

That experience shaped what I wanted Rusty Pickins to be. I wasn’t trying to create another traditional thrift store filled with the same categories and picked-over merchandise. I wanted a vintage-heavy, constantly changing mix of inventory and a shopping experience built around the hunt.

By sourcing from storage units, estates, and donations, Rusty Pickins stays unpredictable from week to week. Pair that with the all-you-can-carry concept, and the goal is simple: make thrifting more fun, more affordable, and more interesting, with the kind of finds people usually have to search antique malls, estate sales, and vendor booths to find.
